Target–performance comparison

The target-performance comparison serves to determine the general situation.

The existing ESD control items are checked for conformity to standards, functional capability and completeness. Any deviations are listed. All affected areas and work processes – from goods-in to dispatch – including the management documents and personnel training (level of employees’ knowledge) are considered and assessed.

OFFER REQUEST

Procedure

  1. PRELIMINARY MEETING
Determination of the areas to be inspected and the scope of the audit

  2. INSPECTION OF THE ESD PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
Control of the protective equipment by means of random measurements (following the material flow)

  3. CLOSING MEETING
    Verbal summary of the results

Documents

  • Comprehensive report in the form of a checklist

  • List of deviations with assessment and suggested priorities of corrective measures

ESD audit (ESD process audit)

The ESD audit is comprehensive. It provides you with the evidence that, in your area, damage caused by ESD can be excluded with a high probability.

From the management documents through the existing ESD protection equipment to your employees’ behavior and ESD awareness, all processes are audited and inspected for standards-compliance, correct function, completeness, effectiveness and suitability according to IEC 61340-5-1 or ANSI/ESD S20.20.

Recertification

The condition of the ESD protection system must be reviewed periodically. The recertification audit is the same as the initial audit, although the scope of audit and inspection – and therefore also the costs – are reduced to an appropriate extent.

OFFER REQUEST

Procedure

  1. PRELIMINARY MEETING
Review of ESD-relevant management documents for conformity with standards

  2. AUDITING OF THE ESD PROCESSES
Verification of the implementation of the ESD control program plan in practice.

  3. INSPECTION OF THE ESD PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
Control of the protective equipment by means of random measurements (following the material flow)

  4. CLOSING MEETING
Verbal summary of the status of the ESD control program.

Documents

  • Audit report with requirements and recommendations

  • Inspection report with assessments

  • List of deviations with classification and correction priorities

  • Special inspection reports about individual key elements (by arrangement)

  • Certificate (depending on result of audit)

Inspection of ESD protection measures

An „inspection of ESD protection measures“ ensures that your existing ESD protection installations comply with the applicable standards, are working correctly, and are effective and suitable for their purpose.

The inspection covers mainly the existing physical ESD protection measures, such as workplaces, flooring, machines, packaging, transport devices, test equipment etc. based on IEC 61340-5-1 or ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards. (Unlike an ESD audit, the „Inspection of ESD protection measures“ does not include administrative measures, such as the ESD control program plan, work and process instructions, and personnel training).

Periodic verification measurements

The condition of the ESD protection system must be reviewed periodically. As accredited inspection body, we can perform this task for you. Our expertly trained personnel and powerful, comprehensive measurement and test equipment provides you with a rational, objective, and unbiased check.

OFFER REQUEST

Procedure

  1. PRELIMINARY MEETING
Determination of the areas to be inspected

  2. CONTROL OF THE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Control of the protective equipment by means of random measurements (following the material flow)

  3. CLOSING MEETING
Verbal summary of the condition of the ESD protection equipment

Documents

  • Inspection report with assessments

  • List of deviations with classification and correction priorities

  • Special inspection reports about individual key elements (by arrangement)

  • Certificate (depending on degree of fulfillment)

ESDS process inspection and risk analysis

An „ESDS process inspection“ assesses the ESD risk for a subassembly or component along the entire production process.

An ESDS process inspection or risk analysis is advisable in the following cases:

  • To ensure safety when using particularly sensitive components
  • To assess the completeness and effectiveness of the ESD protection for a defined process
  • When commissioning new production processes or lines
  • Before starting production of new products or assemblies
  • If there is a suspicion of ESD damage

OFFER REQUEST

Procedure

  1. PRELIMINARY MEETING
An assembly or component and the processing operations to be assessed are defined (manufacturing line, supply chain, etc.)

  2. RISK ANALYSIS
The processing operations are analyzed in detail with regard to ESD risks

  3. CLOSING MEETING
    Verbal summary of the results

Documents

  • Inspection report or risk analysis with assessment of individual process steps

  • List of deviations with classification and correction priorities

  • If applicable, a confirmation of conformity

Part-audit / partial inspection

A partial audit / partial inspection is suitable for:

  • restructuring or moving into new premises
  • commissioning new production lines
  • starting production of new products or assemblies

Procedure

  1. PRELIMINARY MEETING
Determination of the areas to be inspected and the scope of the audit

  2. INSPECTION OF THE ESD PROTECTION EQUIPMENT

  3. CLOSING MEETING
    Verbal summary of the results

Documents
